Privacy Policy

The short version: we don't want your data, we don't set tracking cookies, and we don't require you to sign in. The rest of this page is the long version, written so you can verify the short version is true.

Who runs this site

AICodingCost is operated under the brand Ship By Agent. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and served from cost.shipbyagent.com. Contact: hi@shipbyagent.com.

What we collect when you visit

When you load any page on this site, the following information is processed by our infrastructure providers, regardless of whether we "want" it or not:

  • Cloudflare, our hosting and CDN provider, sees your IP address, browser User-Agent, the URL you requested, and the time of the request. Cloudflare uses this information to deliver the page, mitigate attacks, and produce aggregate traffic statistics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled on this site. Unlike most analytics products, Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track individuals across sites. We see aggregate page-view counts, country (not city), browser family, and the referring URL. See Cloudflare Web Analytics.

What we do not collect

  • No first-party cookies.We do not set any cookies from this domain. You can verify in your browser's developer tools.
  • No third-party trackers. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no Hotjar, no session-replay tools, no cross-site advertising IDs.
  • No accounts, no login, no email gates. Every page is fully readable without identifying yourself.
  • No data sale. There is no user data on file to sell. If that ever changes, this page will say so before it happens.

Email

If you email hi@shipbyagent.com, your message is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing into a Microsoft Outlook mailbox. Your email address and message contents are processed by Cloudflare and Microsoft under their respective privacy policies. We retain emails so we can respond and so we can look back at correction reports; we do not add you to any mailing list. There is no mailing list.

Outbound links and affiliate links

Many pages link to vendor websites (Cursor, GitHub, Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.). When you click an outbound link, the destination site receives a standard HTTP referer header indicating you came from cost.shipbyagent.com. We do not append any tracking parameters of our own.

Some outbound links may, in the future, become affiliate links (we earn a small commission if you sign up). When that happens, the link will be visibly labeled as an affiliate link, and the full disclosure will live on our About page. As of 2026-04-23, we have not yet enabled any affiliate links.

The embeddable calculator

We publish an embeddable calculator at /embed/calculator that other sites can iframe into their posts. When you load a page that contains the embed, your browser fetches the calculator HTML directly from our origin. That request reaches Cloudflare exactly as if you had visited the site directly (same data, same retention). The embed sets no cookies and does not communicate back to the embedding site.

If we ever turn on advertising

We are evaluating whether to enable Google AdSense or a similar contextual advertising network in 2026 or later. If that happens:

  • We will update this page before any ads go live, listing the network and what it collects.
  • Most ad networks set their own cookies and may use IP information for personalized advertising. Where required by law, a consent banner will appear and you will be able to decline non-essential cookies.
  • We will never use ads that auto-play audio, that fake system UI, or that block reading the article.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA / 个人信息保护法)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or mainland China, applicable law gives you rights including access, deletion, and (where relevant) opting out of the "sale" of personal information. Because we do not store any personal data tied to you beyond standard server logs held by Cloudflare, the practical answer to most requests is that we have nothing on file. If you still want to make a request, email hi@shipbyagent.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

This site is aimed at working software developers. It is not designed for or marketed to anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top will move and the previous version will remain accessible via the site's git history at our public source repository (link will be activated when the repo is published). Material changes (new tracking, new ad networks, new data sharing) will be announced by updating and by adding a banner to the homepage for at least 14 days.
